Directed by Mamie Green, Volta fuses physicality, theatricality & multidisciplinary approaches to performance. Volta’s work lives across a variety of artistic mediums to engage diverse audiences and break the boundaries of contemporary dance. Volta has performed and taught across the US, Europe, and the UK and is the recipient of grants from the German Consulate General, the US Embassy, Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, Communiy Engagement, and more.
Named in Fjord Review’s Best of Dance 2023, Volta has been commissioned and presented at the Laguna Art Museum, MAXXI National Museum, East Miami Hotel, Neutra House VDL, Loyola Marymount University, Hosek Contemporary, Museum of Neon Art, and Brooklyn Center Theatre Research, among others, with upcoming engagements at New Hollywood Theater, Brand Library, the Ace Hotel New York, and Skirball Cultural Center.
